Why I’m Running
I am running for Eugene City Council for Ward 7 because I wanted my City Councilor to represent people like me. I am a single working mom, and like most of the young families I know, I struggled greatly during the pandemic to care for my children while working and distance learning in a very isolating time.
I recognize that many are still struggling - as the Executive Director of a local nonprofit, WellMama, I work with families every day and know that mental health is one of the most important topics we can address as a community. I will work tirelessly to address the root causes of our mental health challenges here in Eugene and champion policies that promote a better quality of life for all.
I’ll bring passion and a sense of urgency to addressing the housing and homelessness crises, preserving our natural environment for years to come, making it easier to raise a family, and promoting workforce development.
We must do better to address Oregon’s mental health crisis right here in Eugene, where we have too few therapists and counselors to address the issue.
Mental Health
These issues are two sides of one coin. Every year the demand for housing raises more than the supply, resulting in more and more people on the streets.
Housing and Homelessness
I promise to protect and preserve our green spaces so that they can be enjoyed for many years to come, while balancing the other needs of our community.

Quality, Affordable Child Care
Access to child care is one of the most important factors in supporting economic development and thriving families.
